The mood that underpins this season’s collection is Enduring Beauty. As we react to fast fashion our desire is for long-lasting appeal that celebrates individuality with an unique style that’s free from seasons. Underlying themes of elegance, individuality & tradition flow throughout the new Autumn /Winter 2019 collection. As fashion constantly fluctuates we focus on artisan craftsmanship and botanical references in equal measures.

This season we take inspiration from the Orient where refinement and symbolism open a whole new world of expression and Eastern influences strike the perfect balance between traditional and modern style. We turn our attention to flowers and botanics, respecting the rhythms of the seasons and being in harmony with nature, which is central to the Japenese way of life. The Ayako collection uses couture embroidery for eye-catching impact – the exotic floral placements were designed exclusively for Tatu Couture and made in Italy by Couture Embroiderers. The flowers are embroidered using a delicate fine metallic yarn that shimmers rather than sparkle in tones of gold and pewter. This luxury lingerie collection hints at the erotic, strategically placed florals adorn the body whilst sensual silk chiffon adds allure and strikes the perfect balance between seduction and elegance.
Each placement is skillfully cut by hand and hand appliquéd onto soft sheer tulle so that its delicately soft next to the skin.The skilled technique makes each garment not a mass market item, but an individually crafted work of art.
One of the standout pieces of the AW 2019 collection is the Ayako Kimono. The luxurious full length black kimono crafted from sensual silk chiffon and features sheer dramatic back placement which reveals glimpses of skin. With its contemporary take on the traditional dress form - it features a silk scarf detail around the neck with fringing detail designed for subtle movement. Tied with a braided rope tipped with gold hardware through eyelets at the waist it can be tied in a variety of creative and provocative ways to make a head-turning outerwear option in addition to a nightwear piece.
